These Certification Terms and Conditions govern participation in all certification programs administered by Save The Bees USA, a Texas nonprofit corporation recognized as tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
By submitting an application, paying the applicable certification fee, accepting certification, or using any Save The Bees USA certification name, certificate, badge, patch, logo, or related materials, the applicant agrees to these terms.
Save The Bees USA certification designations recognize individuals who satisfy the published standards for the certification selected and demonstrate a commitment to pollinator stewardship, education, conservation, responsible practices, and community service.
Certification means that Save The Bees USA has determined that the individual satisfied the certification requirements in effect at the time the application was approved.
Be at least 18 years old.
Meet the experience, education, training, activity, property, or other eligibility requirements published for the selected certification.
Submit a complete and accurate certification application.
Provide requested documentation, photographs, records, or other evidence supporting their eligibility.
Agree to follow responsible, ethical, safe, and pollinator-supporting practices applicable to the selected certification.
Comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, ordinances, permits, registrations, regulations, and zoning requirements.
Save The Bees USA may request additional documentation, references, clarification, or an interview before making a certification decision.
Submission of an application does not guarantee certification.
Save The Bees USA may approve, deny, defer, or request additional information regarding any application. Certification decisions are made by Save The Bees USA based on the program standards in effect at the time of review.
Save The Bees USA is not required to disclose confidential review notes, internal deliberations, proprietary evaluation procedures, or information supplied by third parties.
An applicant who does not currently meet the program requirements may be invited to reapply after gaining additional training or experience.
The applicant certifies that all information, statements, credentials, and documents submitted are accurate, current, complete, authentic, and not misleading.
Applicants must promptly notify Save The Bees USA if material information submitted in the application changes.
The annual fee for each Save The Bees USA certification is $99, unless a different amount is displayed on the applicable application or renewal page at the time of payment.
The certification fee supports application review, credential verification, program administration, certification records, certification materials, and annual program operations.
Payment of the certification fee does not guarantee approval.
If an applicant is not approved for certification, Save The Bees USA will refund the certification fee paid by the applicant.
The refund will be issued to the original payment method, generally within 10 business days after the applicant is notified that the application was not approved.
An applicant will not be required to request the refund separately.
If an application cannot be reviewed because required information or documentation is missing, Save The Bees USA will notify the applicant and provide a reasonable opportunity to complete the application.
If the applicant does not provide the requested information within the stated period and the application is closed without approval, the certification fee will be refunded.
If an applicant voluntarily withdraws the application before certification is approved, the certification fee will be refunded.
Save The Bees USA may withhold or delay a refund when reasonably necessary to investigate suspected fraud, an unauthorized payment, a payment dispute, a chargeback, or materially false application information.
Any refund will be subject to the rules and processing timelines of the applicable payment processor and financial institution.
Once an application has been approved and the certificate, digital badge, patch, or other certification materials have been issued or prepared, the certification fee is nonrefundable except when otherwise required by law or expressly approved by Save The Bees USA.
Certification is valid for one year from the date of approval unless a different expiration date appears on the certificate or certification record.
The certified individual may represent themselves as holding the selected Save The Bees USA certification only while that certification remains active and in good standing.
Certification expires automatically if it is not renewed by the expiration date.
After each successful annual renewal, and after any required confirmation of continued eligibility, Save The Bees USA will issue a new embroidered patch displaying the applicable certification year. The certified individual is responsible for maintaining a current mailing address. Replacement patches and patches returned because of an incorrect address may be subject to an additional fee.
Save The Bees USA may revise renewal requirements as the program develops.
Renewal is not guaranteed. Save The Bees USA may decline to renew a certification when the individual no longer meets program requirements or has violated these terms.
Certification will not renew automatically unless the applicant affirmatively selects and authorizes an automatic-renewal option.
When automatic renewal is selected, the applicant authorizes Save The Bees USA and its payment processor to charge the applicable annual certification fee using the payment method on file.
The certified individual may cancel automatic renewal before the renewal charge through the method provided by Save The Bees USA.
Canceling automatic renewal does not immediately cancel an active certification. The certification remains valid until its stated expiration date unless it is suspended or revoked. A new annual patch is issued only after a renewal payment is successfully processed and any required continued-eligibility confirmation is completed.
Benefits may change and are not guaranteed to remain available in the same form each year.
Certification does not guarantee employment, compensation, customers, speaking engagements, referrals, contracts, grants, assignments, or participation in Save The Bees USA programs.
The certification name, certificate, badge, patch, logo, graphics, and related materials remain the property of Save The Bees USA.
Certified individuals may use approved certification materials only in accordance with instructions and branding standards provided by Save The Bees USA.
Represent that a product, honey, apiary, garden, habitat, company, service, course, event, organization, or property is separately certified unless Save The Bees USA provides written authorization
Save The Bees USA may issue separate certification-branding guidelines. Those guidelines become part of these terms.
Save The Bees USA may offer certified individuals the opportunity to appear in a public directory.
Save The Bees USA will publish only the information authorized for public display.
Participation in the public directory may be optional. Save The Bees USA may remove or correct directory listings at any time.
Sensitive application documents, identification records, payment information, and private training documentation will not intentionally be displayed in the public directory.
Certification alone does not authorize an individual to participate in school, youth, community, observation-hive, gardening, mentoring, advocacy, or educational programs on behalf of Save The Bees USA.
Save The Bees USA may separately evaluate certified individuals for these opportunities.
A certified individual may not represent that they have been approved for a specific Save The Bees USA program unless written approval has been issued for that program.
Certification does not create an employment, agency, partnership, franchise, joint venture, fiduciary, or representative relationship between Save The Bees USA and the certified individual.
No certified individual may sign contracts, make financial commitments, accept donations, issue statements, or incur obligations on behalf of Save The Bees USA without prior written authorization.
Certified individuals are solely responsible for determining and maintaining the insurance appropriate for their activities.
Save The Bees USA certification does not provide insurance or legal protection to the certified individual.
Certified individuals are responsible for obtaining all permits, registrations, inspections, licenses, approvals, and insurance required for their activities.
Save The Bees USA may request an explanation, documents, references, or other information from the certified individual.
Failure to provide requested information within the stated period may result in suspension, revocation, nonrenewal, or removal from program opportunities.
Save The Bees USA may temporarily suspend certification while a serious complaint or safety issue is investigated.
Save The Bees USA may maintain the confidentiality of complainants, witnesses, students, schools, and internal review materials when reasonably necessary.
Save The Bees USA may determine the effective date and duration of a suspension.
Certification fees are not automatically refundable following suspension, revocation, expiration, or nonrenewal.
Remove certification claims from websites, social media, advertisements, business cards, email signatures, signs, vehicles, printed materials, and online listings
Physical patches and certificates may be retained as personal records but may not be displayed or used in a manner that suggests the certification remains active.
A certified individual may voluntarily withdraw from the program by providing written notice to Save The Bees USA.
Voluntary withdrawal ends authorization to use the certification name and materials.
Certification fees are not refundable because an individual voluntarily withdraws.
The certification program and certification materials are provided on an “as available” basis to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Certified individuals act independently and remain solely responsible for their own actions, omissions, representations, equipment, plants, gardens, habitats, colonies, property, products, services, and interactions with third parties.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Save The Bees USA is not responsible for injuries, losses, claims, damages, allergic reactions, insect stings, plant or colony losses, property damage, regulatory violations, business losses, customer disputes, vehicle accidents, or other incidents arising from the independent activities of an applicant or certified individual.
Nothing in these terms excludes responsibility that cannot legally be excluded.
This provision does not apply to liability that cannot legally be waived, excluded, or transferred.
Application information will be handled according to the Save The Bees USA Privacy Policy.
Applicants should not upload Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, medical records, or other unnecessary sensitive information.
The applicant consents to receive application, payment, certification, renewal, compliance, and program communications electronically.
The applicant is responsible for maintaining a current email address and contact information.
Electronic notices sent to the most recent email address provided by the applicant will be considered delivered even when the applicant fails to review them.
Material changes will be communicated through the Save The Bees USA website, renewal materials, account notices, or the certified individual’s email address.
Changes will generally apply prospectively. Continued participation in the program after revised terms become effective constitutes acceptance of those terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Any legal proceeding relating to the certification program shall be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction in the Texas county where Save The Bees USA maintains its principal office, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
If any provision of these terms is found invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be limited or removed only to the extent necessary.
The remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
Failure by Save The Bees USA to enforce any provision of these terms does not waive the organization’s right to enforce that provision later.
A waiver is effective only when provided in writing by an authorized representative of Save The Bees USA.
These terms, together with the certification application, Privacy Policy, branding guidelines, and any separately signed program agreement, constitute the agreement governing participation in the applicable Save The Bees USA certification program.
When a separate written agreement applies to a specific teaching, contracting, volunteer, or program opportunity, that agreement will govern the specific activity.
