Become a Save The Bees USA Certified Gardener

This certification recognizes gardeners who are committed to creating and maintaining spaces that provide food, water, shelter, and habitat for bees and other pollinators.

Approved applicants receive an annual certificate, a dated certification patch, and permission to identify themselves as a Save The Bees USA Certified Gardener while their certification remains active.

Certification Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Maintain a pollinator-supporting garden or growing space
  • Provide current photographs of the garden
  • Use responsible, pollinator-friendly gardening practices

FAQs

Is this a government license?
No. This is a private certification and recognition program administered by Save The Bees USA.

How long does certification last?
Certification is valid for one year and renews annually unless canceled before the next renewal date.

Will I receive a new patch each year?
Yes. A new dated certification patch is issued after each successful annual renewal.

What types of gardens may qualify?
Residential, container, school, community, farm, and business gardens may qualify. Garden size is less important than the habitat and resources provided for pollinators.

Does payment guarantee approval?
No. Applications are reviewed, and additional information or photographs may be requested.

What happens if my application is not approved?
The certification fee will be refunded in accordance with the Save The Bees USA Certification Terms and Conditions.
